DESCRIPTION:We are opening our doors to everyone in the Greater San Diego Community so that we can come together and discuss the future of English language\, Islamic programming in San Diego. Whatever ethnicity\, whatever background you are from\, we welcome you to attend this townhall meeting so that you can see what our vision and goals are for the San Diego Shia Community. \nIn this townhall\, we will go over what we’ve accomplished in the last four months\, as well as what our goals and vision are for the future. \nWe will begin the event with Congregational Maghrib Prayers at 5:30pm sharp. Light refreshments will be served. Feel free to invite anyone who you think would be interested. This townhall is free to attend and open to all.

Yet\, as Muslims\, we have to ask ourselves\, ‘What does Islam say about race?’ For second-generation Iraqis\, Iranians\, Pakistanis\, our parents probably encourage us to marry within our ethnicity. Is that the Islamic way?\n\nThis program will be held outdoors in the courtyard of the Masjid\, so bring jackets. We will also be around a bonfire\, making smores while Br. Sarmad Ashoor gives his speech.
