Late last year, we started the Noor Collective with a simple mission – to fulfill the needs of the San Diego Shia community that requires 100% English programming. Seven months later, not only have we been successful, holding over 70 programs – including workshops, bonfire events, social justice events, dawah tables. But all this was done on a shoestring budget!
The community has spoken through personal growth as well as attendance, and has shown support through a variety of means. Now, for our first ever Ramadan as the Noor Collective, we are planning on having programs to meet the community’s spiritual needs.
We are planning on bringing in Hawza educated guest scholars (who were born and raised in the US), that will both increase our closeness to Allah while also being relevant to our daily lives as Muslims in America.
Our programs require funding for the speakers, iftar (dinner), venue, as well as many other associated costs. We are committed to spending 100% of your donation in the way of Allah, on our programming, in order to keep ourselves, our families, and our society on the right path.
