With the Black Lives Matter movement and Donald Trump becoming president, race has definitely become a hot topic these days. Yet, as Muslims, we have to ask ourselves, ‘What does Islam say about race?’ For second-generation Iraqis, Iranians, Pakistanis, our parents probably encourage us to marry within our ethnicity. Is that the Islamic way?
This program will be held outdoors in the courtyard of the Masjid, so bring jackets. We will also be around a bonfire, making smores while Br. Sarmad Ashoor gives his speech.
